Step 1: Admission Requirements and Eligibility
Before starting the application process, please ensure your child meets the basic requirements for their desired entry level:

JSS 1 (Junior Secondary School): Completion of Primary Six (Primary School Leaving Certificate) and a minimum age of 10 years by September of the admission year.

JSS 2 & SSS 1 (Transfer Students): Excellent academic records from the previous school, strong discipline reports, and successful completion of our transfer entrance examination.

SSS 2: Admission is subject to space availability and extremely high academic performance in the preceding year.
Step 2: The Application Process
The application process is designed to be straightforward and accessible:

Obtain the Application Form: Forms are available for a non-refundable fee of NGN 3000 at the School Administrative Office or can be downloaded directly from this website.

Complete the Form: Fill out all sections clearly and accurately. Attach the following mandatory documents:

Two recent passport-sized photographs of the applicant.

A copy of the applicant’s Birth Certificate.

The most recent academic result/report card from the current school.

A reference/testimonial letter from the applicant’s current Head Teacher (for transfer students).

Submission: Submit the completed form and all supporting documents to the School Administrative Office before the published deadline. Online submission is also available via applications@unityschools.ng
Step 3: Entrance Examination and Interview
All applicants must sit for a mandatory Entrance Examination and participate in an Oral Interview:

The Examination: The entrance exam assesses proficiency in Mathematics, English Language, and General Knowledge. The examination dates are fixed and announced publicly.

Venue: Unity Schools Main Hall.

The Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be invited back for an interview with the Principal or members of the Admissions Committee. This is an opportunity for us to assess the applicant’s character, aspirations, and suitability for the Unity Schools ethos. Parents/Guardians are required to attend the interview with the applicant.
Step 4: Notification and Acceptance

Results: Results from the Entrance Examination and Interview are typically released within two weeks of the final test date. Successful candidates will be notified via email, SMS, and published on the school notice board/website.

Admission Offer: Successful candidates will receive an Official Letter of Provisional Admission.

Acceptance: To secure the place, parents must accept the offer and pay the mandatory Acceptance Fee and the first term’s school fees within the specified deadline (usually two weeks from the offer date). Failure to meet this deadline may result in the forfeiture of the provisional admission.
